About us
Wellington Real Estate Sale, Stratford and Maffra in the year 2020 has over 198 years combined service knowledge in Real Estate in the Gippsland Region. Locally owned and operated, Tony Baillie and Tony Kiss joined their expertise in Real Estate Opening the doors in April 2004 as an LJ Hooker Franchise and this venture quickly established a strong share of the local market and vast involvement in the community. Our office attracts local, interstate and international purchasers and clients who were initially attracted by our local marketing campaigns and our National Website and are now supported by our innovative technology behind the scenes. This led to an increasing number of residential, rural and commercial sales in the local area. All of this has been made possible by the support of our courteous team of trained professionals, many who have excelled to become Licensed Estate Agents, who work to achieve personal goals and results for our clients. Our industry is forever changing and becoming more innovative, our team frontline focus has not changed however to support the end result for you, our backend operations are continually implementing better technology, marketing and systems to support them along with local and national connections to ensure we capture every opportunity.

The History
There is a vast amount of experience and history that establishes where we are today. The company connection formed in 1976 by Mr Lindsay Wigg in Maffra and he remains an association with the Real Estate Industry today. In 1998 the company amalgamated the agencies in Maffra & Rosedale, following in April 2004 the office doors of Sale opened, which was quickly followed by an office in Heyfield. As of the 1st July 2007 a new company known as Wellington Real Estate Pty Ltd was formed under the direct ownership of Mr Tony Baillie and Mr Tony Kiss who took over management of LJ Hooker Sale and subsequently opened LJ Hooker Stratford.
In 2015 after many years of experience in working in Real Estate, and working along side a Real Estate development platform and Trust accounts service team, Elise Williams joined as a director and brought her skills from her role of trainer for staff across Australia to the team. In 2018 we purchased a neighbouring real estate agency and acquired client relationships with another 200 properties, with Emma Speekman joining the team.
In 2019 the company re branded from LJ Hooker to Wellington Real Estate Pty Ltd with strong systems in place to continue to strive to maintain their vision working with the local community and our clients.

In December 2020 a partnership with Kevin Read formerly trading as Country Road Real Estate was formed with a new look Wellington Real Estate Maffra. This is an exciting new era for real estate in the local area. Combining the resources of the Wellington Real Estate Sale office and Maffra to provide a broader service team for Real Estate across the centre of the Wellington Shire area.
